who we are
The ArtBar is a collective of local artists and art lovers with a mission to build a community for artists of all backgrounds and create a supportive environment for artists to show their work. We put together a monthly pop-up art show at Two Brothers RoundHouse, each built around a central theme. We’re all volunteer-run and no commissions are collected from artist sales. We just love art and want to share it with the community.
We are more than a gallery type event where people come by, look at art, and continue on to the next location. ArtBar is a social gathering where friends and the greater art family come together to not only appreciate art, but to also hang out while hugging, conversing, drinking and eating.
Aurora ArtBar was started in 2012 by Lisa Green. A year later, the curator mantle was handed over to Javi Terrazas. The collective continued to grow to over 100 local artists. During the pandemic in 2020-2021, shows were moved online but returned to the Two Brothers RoundHouse in the Fall of 2021 with Fredo Castil as curator. The curator helm was then handed to Nina Campos in 2025.
