Lydia The Tattooed Spider is a beautiful orange orb weaver with candy corn-striped legs. These grape-sized spiders with intricate back markings appear in the fall, giving them the name Halloween or Pumpkin Spider. Lydia’s aesthetic is inspired by Sally Bowles, and her title is based on a 1939 Groucho Marx song (“Lydia The Tattooed Lady”) performed in the Marx Brothers movie “At The Circus.”
11”x14” mixed media (marker, colored pencil, ink, paints) on canvas.
